This ancient medicine is based on the core concepts of Qi, the vital energy that courses through our bodies, Yin and Yang, Blood and Fluids, Spirit and Essence, and the importance of balance amongst these elements. Chinese medicine, of which Acupuncture is just one part, endeavors to return the body back to a state of homeostasis and thus, to good health!

About Your Acupuncturist
Cat Wingate presently lives on the Big Island of Hawaii. She owns and operates a successful practice of over 12 years combining the art of Chinese medicine, spiritual counseling and energy healing. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has taught in many different venues, from private classes to graduate level college courses. She has an extensive background in business, in both government and private sectors. Cat is a Navy Veteran, who finds tremendous satisfaction bringing her own brand of healing to the Veterans in her community.
When she is not working in Hilo, Cat can be found writing, teaching and traveling. She has a great love of nature that is perhaps only surpassed by her passion for helping others.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Currently, Cat is taking new cash patients, Veterans with a referral from the VA, and Kaiser Added Choice.
